Product Description
Royal "Yin Yang" Candle Holder
The figure used in many Asian cultures symbolizing the unity of the two "opposite" male and female elements, the "yin" and the "yang" served as inspiration for this candleholder.
Made from the upper portion of a reclaimed Bordeaux bottle and the lower part of a Californian Merlot bottle. The water serves to amplify the cobalt stem and extinguish the candle once done. Sold in sets of 2.
FAQ
Where is glassware from the Green Glass Company made?
All the products are made in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin.
Where do all of the bottles come from?
Bottles come from the waste stream and are sorted and supplied by Green Glass' partner network. Sometimes, for large corporate orders, Green Glass is supplied 'resort' glass, which are those bottles that have failed quality control at a glass manufacturer and are destined to be crushed.
Are there any hazardous by-products from the manufacturing process?
None at all. The frosting process is achieved from sandblasting instead of the non-environmentally friendly method of acid etching. Sandblasting medium is alumunium oxide, which is totally inert.
Is the frosting or logo effect permanent?
Yes, no amount of washing or scrubbing will remove it. The sandblasting process actually causes micro-pitting in the glass surface, which is permanent. For clear glass, with a screen printed design, the design is permanently 'fired' onto the glass surface and cannot be removed.
